Chapter Seven: Undaunted

554 Words
ELENA From craving the weekend to wishing today was a work day, life had certainly moved very fast. I stayed in bed until I was sure that Carlo would have gone out. Sometime in the midnight, he had taken the clamps off my arms but soreness in my arms now was an unwanted reminder of what had happened last night. My husband, the man I married and loved had punished me even when he had been at fault for coming home late, drunk and stained with a woman’s lipstick. The most unbearable part was that I had enjoyed it. I had wanted more from him. A weird kind of pleasure mixed with pain. After a little massage, I took a quick shower. Today, I would go out and try to clear my head until i felt better. Maybe even sleep out till I was sure that I could bear the sight of him. With the thought that Carlo was out, I went straight to the kitchen to make some quick breakfast already dressed in a skin tight dress. One of the downside of being a top socialite was your image. It was even more important since I was now married to Carlo, people would want to see how I looked everywhere. The temptation to call my sister to be with me was huge. I wasn’t sure I could handle any press if I met one at the moment. The chances that I’ll make headline of “top socialite breaks down after a failed marriage” the next day was even higher than me surviving it. In the past two months, I had grown distant from every one around me, my whole being had been drawn into Carlo and his charm that I let most of my already few relationship die out. “God help me stay sane.” I murmured as I turned the last batch of pancakes my hands shaking as I heard footsteps drawing closer. “Your recovery capabilities are quite commendable.” Carlo said icily as he walked into the kitchen. Straight from the indoor gym, Carlo looked every bit eatable to me and my body definitely considered him a better breakfast option to my pancakes as desire floored my underpants. He was shiny with sweat and every bit of those bulgy muscles that were usually hidden when he was clothed was out there flashing in my face. “Carlo….” I called out every line of thought I had vanished as he shoots a glare in my direction. “You didn’t look like this yesterday, whimpering and begging for me to grant you any type of release even if it meant pain. Is there something you are trying to say?” He asked his tone laced in sarcasm and I was sure I had flushed a deep shade of red from embarrassment. “I’m sorry you have that effect on me Carl. I’m sorry that my body wants any type of affection from you after you have starved me of every damn affection I deserve for the last six months.” I lashed out bitterly damming the consequences in my head. The most he could do? Tie me up and make him beg for him? Then beg I would but I was sure as hell going to say my mind.
