Fine!! I forced a smile, i was sitting down eating and i could not wait to finish to escape her ever ending questions.
''Jasmine!! You know you can talk to me'' she said, obviously sensing somethimg was not right.
"Mum i am fine" i smiled, genuinely this time, knowing that someone actually cares about me made me happy.
"Why did he drive you out? " She asked watching me keenly
I smiled , laughing nervously.
"Family drama, its no big deal mum " quickly i stood up carrying my plates to the kitchen. To avoid further questions.
I heard her footsteps behind me, while i was washing the playes

I smiled at her appreciatively, walking over to the bathroom, i heard her ask

No mum!! I am okay. I laughed ignoring her

That was then, mum, i am an adult now'' i laughed and closed the bathroom door, i knew she was dissappointed but childten do grow... Don't they?
Next morning, i woke up to the smell of pancakes , mhmmmmmmm it smelt heavenly, it reminded me of love and i knew i was home.. My stomach rumbled and cried out to taste this sumptous meal, quickly i rushed to take my bath and brush my teeth, putting on a dress my mum bought for me last year, i rushed to the kitchen
Mum'' i called out when i did not see her in the kitchen...

Coughing a bit , i rushed to the fridge to get a glass of water and a note fell

I was worried, why did she not tell me this yesterday? my mind went to several places but i quickly hushed it
Tracing the aroma to a flask by the corner, i opened it and i saw the hot and freshly made pancakes and i could not resist them..

i was beyond angry, this man was so sarcastic and annoying,
how can he cut the call on me?
and at the same time talk to me anyhow?
i called him and yet his acting like his helping me... I breathed in and breathed out, i needed this job, so no matter how ill treated they treat me , i will try not to care.
