THE LETTER

Ma!!

The uber driver called me just as i was coming down the car, infront of my mothers house.

Yeah' i replied half inside and half outside.

He moved a card into my hands and smiled at me.

I looked at the card, it looked familiar , i opened it and i saw a message

"Sweet dreams " my heart began to beat

"Who gave you this? " I questioned him

But he did not respond..

"Who gave you this? " I screamed at him.

He still kept quiet, ignoring me he began to put on the engine of the car''

''who gave you this'' i held him shaking him furiously, how dare he ignore me when my life is in danger.

''Ma'am please get down of my car'' he ordered.

''i will when you tell me who gave you this'!! I barked at him

His hand moved from the engine to the other end of the car and he brought out a gun

''leave the car ma'am''

My eyes looked at the gun and looked over at his face and i knew he would shot me, i stood up from the car and walked to the gate of my mum, looking at the second letter afraid to open it...

I thought of throwing it

''but on a second thought, i decided to keep it.

i came here for my mum and that is all that matters.

''ding dong'' the door bell rang and few minutes later, my mum opened the gate and i ran to her hugging her and for once i felt warmth peace and acceptance.. Looking over my shlulders, i could still see the Uber driver staying where i left him, i was unsure of what life held for me, who were this people? i knew i could deal with them but could my mother deal with them?.
