Chapter 15

Jane, Mark, and the guardian stood outside the time machine, ready to face whatever lay ahead. They knew that this was their last chance to prevent the disaster. They had come so far, and they couldn't turn back now.

"Are you ready?" the guardian asked, her eyes locked on Jane and Mark. Her voice was steady, but Jane could hear the hint of nervousness behind it.
