Omar called his security and told her that he would work from home for a week and that he would do all the meetings online. He also ordered her to not call him for two days and to move his meetings in those two days to another time.
After sorting his schedule with her, he returned to the gathering to find his wife and the others laughing about something his son said.
He went and sat next to her, then wrapped his hand around her waist and pulled her closer to him. She looked at him, then smiled, and because of that, he was melting from inside but didn't show it.
She leaned into his ear and whispered, "Did you finish your calls?"
Just being this close and her warm breath hitting his ear was enough to make him lose his senses. He just nodded because he didn't trust his voice right now.
