3 hours earlier. Omar's P.O.V "Stop the car, Johan," and he stopped the car beside the road. "What! Why? We haven't reached home yet," asked Danny with a confused expression. "I can tell." "Then?" "Don't you need to make up with your wife? Here, there is a flower shop. buy some flowers for her and what she asked you to buy; oh, make sure she won't tell Jass that we have returned. Now get out and man up." Danny was opening and closing his mouth like a fish. He still didn't make any movement to get out of the car, so I opened the door for him, kicked his left leg, and motioned for him to leave. He started to throw curses at me, telling me I'm not a good friend. Then he went out and took two steps, then he returned again and bent down to the window level and asked the most stupid thing ever. "What type of flower should I buy for her?" "You know Danny?" "Hmm." "You deserve what Nattily did to you, and what will she do? Move the car, Johan, get us out of here." I told him, and then I rolled up the window glass, and he started to bang on it. "Come on, man, you said you would help me if I didn't make up with her, and she kicked me out. I will c.r.u.s.h at your house." I can hear the threat in his tone. I didn't pay him any attention and told Johan to move. It took them thirty minutes to reach their destination. When Johan stopped the car in front of the gate, he honked the car horn to make them open the gate. They opened it immediately when they noticed that this was their boss's car. The gate door opened, and Pual came to greet his boss. ''Welcome back, sir." I rolled the window glass down and nodded. "Thanks, did something happen while I was abroad?'' "No, sir, nothing happened," answered Pual immediately. "Good, move Johan." I looked at my watch to check the time and found it was 3 p.m. The car stopped in front of the mansion. I went out and told Johan to follow me. We climbed the stairs, opened the door, and straddled in, with Johan following behind. We reached the living room. I sat on one of the chairs and then motioned for him to sit. Before I could speak, Mrs. Turner came. "Welcome back, Mr. Omar, Mr. Johan." "Thanks, Mrs. Turner," we both said in unison. "Would you like to drink something or eat?" "Thank you, Mrs. Turner; I'm good," answered Johan with a polite smile. "And you, Mr. Omar." "I will wait for Jass." "Okay, I will be in the kitchen; if you need anything, call me." I nodded, and she excused herself, and I returned my attention to Johan. "So, any news?" I asked him urgently. "No, sir, there isn't. Every time we have a clue, it will lead us to nothing, like he already knows." "Hmm, who is playing behind our backs again, leaking our deals and trying to steal our projects?" "We will...” Ring ring. Johan couldn't continue what he had to say. Omar checked who was calling and looked at Johan and said, "Wait a second until I take this call." Johan nodded his head. "Hey, mom." "Now you remember you have a mother. I have been calling you for hours, and your phone was switched off. Why is that? Did something happen?" I could hear the worry in her voice. "When we are on a plane, we shouldn't turn off our phones, right?" "What the heck! You have returned; then why didn't you tell us about your arrival, you ungrateful son?" Now her tone changed from worrisome to joyful. "Granny, why are you shouting?" When I heard my two little munchkin voices, a smile appeared on my face. Now I know why it feels so quiet. I heard Mom talking to them to assure them that there was nothing to worry about. "Mom, open the speaker and let me speak with them." She mumbled, Okay. "Here, honey, Daddy wants to talk to you." I could hear their excitement, and that made me chuckle. "Hey, my munchkins, how have you been? I missed you guys so much." "Daddy," they both scream in unison and with excitement. "Daddy, we miss you too. When will you come home?" asked Lin. "Soon, baby, be good, listen to Granny, and don't tire her, okay?" Both of them nodded their heads and said, Okay. "Mom, are you still here? If you are, turn off the speaker because I have a favor to ask from you." "Speak," Mom ordered. "Can you keep the kids tonight and I will come to take them tomorrow, or just send them with the driver?" I asked. "No problem, but what should I tell Jass?" "Figure it out, mom," I replied. "Okay, you don't have to come; I will send them with the driver; both of you take some rest." I thanked her, and she hung up the call. I looked at Johan and continued our talk. We talked for an hour. "Does Jass now?" he asks, shaking his head with a no. "Good, keep it that way, and if she starts to get suspicious, I will tell her myself." I firmly told him. "Yes, Mr. Omar." Ringg.... Ringg... Ringg. Now it was his phone. I told him to answer it. "It's Mrs. Jasmine," he informed me. I told him to answer it. "Ma'am, should I come to pick you up?" he asked. After a second, he lifted his eyebrows. "You are on your way, right?" When I heard what he just said, I clenched my hands. This woman will never learn. I told him in a quiet tone to turn on the speaker, which he did immediately. "Damn it, why are you so straightforward? Can't you overlook it this time and don’t tell Omar, hmm?" I can tell she is worried. Johan didn't reply immediately. I motioned for him to continue. "Because that is my personality, and you know I can't if I don’t tell him; he has his own way to find out." After he said that, he looked at me. "How would he know if you didn’t tell him or I didn't? Can't you just cover this up for me this time? I swear to God that I was going to call you after picking up the kids, but Mary told me to leave them and come to pick them up tomorrow." She explained everything, hoping he would agree, but she made it worse. I was fuming with anger, and Johan could tell. 'He already knows.' Johan thought. He groans and says, "What should I overlook exactly? That you are coming home alone, or you were going to pick up the kids also alone?" good, very good answer. "Both of them, can you please, please?" she was pleading desperately to him, this wife of mine. I told him to agree. "Okay, Jass, but this is the first and last time," he said in a warning and dominating tone. Who is he to talk to my wife like that? When he sees me glare at him, his face becomes pale. 'Good, no one, and I mean, no one should talk to her like that.' I went to the kitchen to drink some water to calm myself down after what I heard just now. I shook my head; she would never learn. "Do you need something, Mr. Omar?" asked Mrs. Turner, who noticed his gloomy aura. "A glass of cold water, please." She handed it to him, and he chugged it in one go. "Did something happen?" I shook my head, and she nodded. She must have noticed I'm not in the mood for a chit-chat. "Mrs. Turner," I called. "When Jass comes, you can go; you don't need to stay. We will do fine. Go and have some fun." I told her. "Are you sure, honey?" I nodded. "Okay, I will prepare the food, and when she comes, I will leave," she replied. "Hmm, thank you, Shirly." "Don't mention it," she said with a smile.
