Amelia's pov
We took a break to rest for the night enjoying our snacks while sharing jokes amongst ourselves when the ground began to rumble, it was the black mist again.
I stood on my wobbly feet as the ground rumbled, it was like the earth was about to turn inside out, when suddenly the mist began to dash out from the nearest trees forming a circle around us which we couldn't escape, we formed a circle with all our backs torching.
I picked up a brick close to my feet and threw it into the fast approaching mist but I didn't hear the sound of it landing.
“Stay close” Lukas ordered his voice hard.
It continued to draw closer and our bodies grew tighter together as the air around us became a mix of tension and fear.
I could see it circling us with no way of escaping, as it drew closer
