Looking up, it seemed as though the mountain soared into the vault of heaven. Looking ahead, the rugged terrain that he had yet to cross seemed even more frightening and treacherous than that which he already climbed. Another mountain towered above him. He spotted a narrow path he could follow which bordered the rocky gulley dividing its twin peaks. As he began to walk up it he noticed the light was beginning to fade until only the barest glimmers of light illuminated the track. Progress was difficult because of the stones and scree he was forced to walk on. He kept slipping on the treacherous surface, continually running the risk of being hurled into the depths of the ravine.
