“Because it's the summer, Leena. It generally tends to be hotter in the summer months; though, I'm no meteorologist so I can't say for sure." Alec grins in my direction a few paces behind him.
“How can you still be such a wise ass in this heat?" I complain, whiny and annoyed even to my own ears.
I'm used to air-conditioned bedrooms and a floral shop that needs to be cool at all times for the flowers and plants. Walking around in the heat that literally ripples off the blacktop is testing both my patience and endurance. Of which I have none.
