Rome's pov
“Just love me,” she lamented, crying into her palm, her bellowing voice resounded in my ear she had never being this helpless, she never cried this much, I was responsible for it, I was responsible for all of it.
“Rome, all I want you to say is you love me” she said
“ Chloe”
“ Just say you love me”
The word love felt dense on my tongue, I couldn’t say it, I wasn’t sure if I felt it, maybe I did at some point but never towards her, but I was certain of the guilt of putting her through so much.
“ Chloe” I pulled her in for a hug, she cried even more, “ I am sorry” I whispered in her ears, gently patting her back, I could feel her whimper on my chest.
“I could do_I couldn’t do anything for you, just love me ” her teary eyes held mine, as she cupped my face with her hands,
