Declan gave me an appreciative glance before looking back at Lucian. "Alpha Lucian, you were nowhere to be found when Camille was being cornered. Now that she's safe, what are you doing here? Trying to take the credit?"

Lara spoke up in a soft, sweet voice, quickly making excuses for him.
