Camille's POV
Lara seemed afraid that Rowan's words would trigger Lucian's guilt, so she hurriedly interrupted.
"Lucian, when you really get down to it, this whole thing isn't entirely Rowan's fault. Camille abandoned Rowan and ran off to take care of the Blood Curtain pack's heir..."
She looked at me with a blaming gaze.
"Rowan is just using his own way to try and get a little bit of his mother's attention and pheromone comfort. What did he do wrong? At the end of the day, isn't it Camille who is failing her duties? Why are you ganging up with the academy's teachers here to bully your own son for the sake of an unrelated child?"
I slowly stood up. Facing Lara's hypocrisy-filled face, I let out a somewhat sarcastic laugh.
