"Let go."
I didn't look back, keeping my voice completely calm.
His grip didn't loosen at all; he even used the mating bond to try and force me closer to him.
"Rowan was the one who insisted on ordering the exact same food as your table yesterday. We were sitting so far away, there's no way Lara could have seen the nuts on the cake."
Seeing his alpha dad firmly taking Lara's side, Rowan got even bolder.
"Yeah! Dad is right! Mom is the one who's wrong! She knows I can't eat nuts, but she still ordered a nut cake for Finn just to make me mad!"
"So, my sweet boy, are you telling me that from now on, any allergic reaction you get from eating something is going to be my fault?"
