The Phone Call

                                                 Thank God this man is still sleep. I don't think I would have even had an answer for him if he would have been awake. This is all going way to far. Who the f**k have I become? Seriously Crissy cheating on your husband. Sneaking out of the house he paid for to be with another man. Sleeping with another man in the bed he picked out for us because I have no designer skills. This man was everything any woman would want. He was hardworking, far as I knew he was faithful, and he was definitely handsome and charming. I was f*****g up bad but I just couldn't stop I was attracted to Marquan in so many ways. Sexually, physically,emotionally he had it all with me. I wondered though is Tavias fully faithful with me. I mean that wouldn't make what I'm doing any better in fact it'll probably make me feel worse but I should know right? Deciding to go through his phone is something I never thought I would ever do we've always trusted each other. Going through his phone I noticed this 212 number that keeps calling his phone. There's no text messages just calls. He talked to this number everyday while he was away in the army but no so much when he got back home. For some reason this number seemed familiar to me but I just couldn't place my finger on it. I'll investigate it soon enough though. Guess I'll get breakfast started.

Breakfast is ready I called out to Tavias. Eggs, blueberry homemade waffles, English muffins, and pork sausage yummm.

                                             " Hi honey thanks for cooking it looks amazing." said Tavias after kissing me on my forehead. I don't know why but his forehead kisses always made me feel secure within myself.

                                           " Hey honey good-morning and thank you dig in." I said trying not to sound irritated about the number in his phone that he thinks I knew nothing about.

                                            " Hey can I ask you a question babe? Umm who's 212 number is that in your phone?" I asked nervously.

                                         " So we going through phones now? Seriously Crissy you don't trust me after all these years. How would you like it if I went through your phone even though you've given me every reason to want to. It doesn't matter who's number it is it isn't important. Thanks for ruining a perfectly good breakfast." said Tavias angrily pushing his plate away. I mean was this man seriously that mad that I went through his phone.

                                        " You've been contacting that number everyday while you were away. We didn't even talk everyday while you were away so who the f**k is it Tavias that's all I want to know. Are we keeping secrets now?" I screamed at him knowing I was keeping a major secret. I mean so what if he was cheating so was I. Looking at his phone records this showed that if he was cheating he was doing it way before I was. I have to find out who's number this is.

                                          " You know what don't f*****g tell me. What's done in the dark eventually comes to the light. I'ma take a shower and head to work early." I said as I shoulder bumped Tavias on my way to the shower. Who the f**k does he think he's trying to play? If he wasn't happy why would he stay he could have been left me I don't f*****g need him. Same questions I'm asking him he could be asking me as well. I mean I'm not so innocent.

Heading into work I'm not in the mood to even see Marquan or Ana. I'm not in the mood to deal with their bullshit either.

                                      " Listen it's suppose to get real busy tonight after the Maroon 5 concert and 3 of our servers called out sick. That leaves us with 2 servers. When you take your break can you please help out with the phones. I'm not going to be able to manage serving and taking phone calls all night at the same time. Everyone else has agreed to do the same on their breaks." said Marquan desperately. I'm just clocking in and already having to deal with bullshit.

                                        s**t it's been busy all damn night. I'm ready for a smoke break and I don't even smoke. It's been nonstop customers I feel bad for even going on break but if I don't go soon I'm going to pass out in that kitchen. As I was looking around I noticed that Ana was one of the 3 servers that called out. I'm surprised she hasn't quit yet. I don't blame her today had to be a little too much for her. Finding out your man is cheating is definitely not a good feeling. Feels like someone punched you in your gut and left a permanent hole there. That's how I was feeling right now even thinking about the fact that Tavias may be cheating on me. Well I guess I'll take my food to the office and wait to see if the phone interrupts my good eating time. Ring! Ring! Ring! Well I should have seen that coming of course the phone would ring as soon as I sit down and get comfortable. Wait a minute 212. This is the number that was in Tavias's phone.

                                           " Good Evening thank you for calling " The Way To Your Heart " Crissy speaking how may I help you?" I said nervously awaiting who was going to answer the phone.

                                           " Ohhhh so this is Crissy? This is the b***h who's been f*****g my sister's man. Well I was calling to get Ana's schedule for next week for her so she wouldn't have to talk to Marquan but while I have you on the phone maybe I should properly give you your warning. You better watch your back b***h cause I'm coming for you," said the unfamiliar female voice.

                                           " And who the f**k are you to be threatening me?" I said angrily but also keeping my voice down so no one walking by the office would hear.

" I'm Ana's sister Laya that's all you need to know." said Laya before hanging up the phone. So that's who's been calling Tavias's phone, Laya. So let me get this straight. I stole Ana's man and her sister stole mine. I can't help but to laugh right now because this is definitely a coincidence I was not expecting. Really God your payback couldn't have been any worse.

                                          " Hey is everything ok?" whispered Marquan as I was hanging up the phone.

                                          " No it's not Marquan. Tavias has been cheating on me and you'd never guess with who. Laya!" I said as I wiped tears from my eyes. Why the f**k was I crieng though this is what I wanted right? An excuse to leave Tavias and be with Marquan. For some reason I was jealous though and I was actually heartbroken.

                                           " As in Ana's sister Laya. What the f**k how do they even know each other? That's so crazy. I'm so sorry Crissy I swear I had no idea." said Marquan as he walked over to give me a well needed hug.

                                         " It's okay. I just want to be alone before I go back to work if you don't mind" I said shaking my left leg staring off into space. I don't know how I'm going to handle this but I'm going to handle this.
