“ hey MOL, its me. Ivo.”
“ ooOoH speaking of the devil” Jake said while smirking.
“ What’s with the nickname? “ he teasingly asked.
“Me myself don’t even know, it’s his pakulo na naman.” I just realize that all this time Ivo litterally called me that “ MOL”thing, without me knowing the meaning behind it, I haven’t ask him and I don’t care at all it’s not bothering me and that’s what matters.
But Its kinda cute. Just a little.
“ Hey lamau , alis na muna ko. Nakalimutan ko tatagpuin ko pa nga pala mga kaibigan ko. Diyan ka muna, mukhang pupuntahan ka naman ng bebe mo opxss este BESTFRIEND. “ paasar niyang sabi.
“ Stop teasing already, WERE JUST FRIENDS. PERIODT. “ I said habang umiirap.
He said that I’m mataray daw? Like hindi na ba siya nasanay. Its me the one and only Reign Maureen Zamora De Leon. Duh.
They both said goodbyes and remind each other to hang out sometimes with Ivo.
After Jake vanished from the crowd she took the phone near her ear to clearly hear Ivo.
“Where are you MOL? ” Ivo asked her.
She answered that she is at school and it’s her firstday “Yeah i know you’re at school, i mean what spot, i am at the UST rn. ” he said.
“Oh sorry I’m walking around I don’t even know where am i, I think im ligaw na here” she answered, ivo laughed at her.
Ivo told her to describe the place and she said that she is near where the benches are and lots of couples are chatting there, she said that its full of crowds and flowers. “
“Okay got it, Stop being cute. Stay there i’ll go to where you are. ”
She sat at the empty bench that she saw and wait for Ivo to arrive. Quietly observing the surroundings.
She finds everything annoying, especially the couples being lovey dovey. She hates it. She’s not really a fan of love thingy.
Since before college, she doesn’t really had an interest in that kind of things. She focused more on school and improving herself that’s why she’s the best in her school, she was out of their league. If perfect is a person, then it might be her. Others saw her as a goddess but you can’t blame them given the fact of her breath taking beauty + her attitude, she might be conyo and mataray outside but as you know her deeper you’ll know how warm hearted and thoughtful she is. A goddess indeed.
Minutes had passed but still Ivo hasn’t found me yet. Eto na naman mga mata nilang nakatitig saken, konti na lang matutunaw na ko.
I opened my phone to look myself on the camera, “ May nakalagay ba sa face ko? parang wala naman ah.” I asked myself.
They keep on looking at her, little did she know they can’t take their eyes off her because of her beauty, she’s literally outshining everyone just by sitting there.
Hindi na lamang niya pinansin pa ang mga matang nakatitig sa kanya ang tanging nasa isip niya lamang ay ang pagdating ng bestfriend niyang si Ivo.
Habang nagaantay ay unti-unti ng napapikit ang mga mata niya, marahil ay dala ng pagpupuyat niya kagabi at maagang pag-gising kaninang umaga.
Hanggang sa di na nakayanan ni Maureen at napaidlip na ito ng tuluyan.
IVO’S POV
After our call, I immediately walked as fast as I can to find Maureen, My MOL. I honestly missed her so much to the point na I’m here at UST even though i enrolled in Ateneo. I badly wanna see her even just for a short time. Gusto ko lang siya makita at makasama.
The school is crowded maybe because its the first day of school, I should have expected it na. Ayan Ivo puro ka kasi landi. I laughed at my self. My mind is full of Mol and I’m willing to wait and do anything just to be with her.
Sa wakas ay nakarating na din ako sa Lovers Lane, I kinda know UST kasi my cousin used to study here that’s why alam ko places at tama nga si Mol mas maraming tao dito, specially couples na magkayakap and being clingy to each other.
“ When kaya kami ni Mol? .” napangiti nitong sabi.
Patuloy na hinahanap ng mata niya si Maureen, sa sobrang crowded ng lugar ang hirap talaga hanapin ng iisang tao lang. It takes time for him to find her.
Nalibot na ata ng mga mata niya ang buong sulok ng buong lugar na yon but still hindi pa rin niya ito mahanap. Until he heard someone saying na there’s this beautiful girl seating there alone.
And the moment na nakita niya ang babaeng hinahanap niya napangiti na lamang ito“ oh God, how can someone look this good while sleeping. Pede ka bang imine baby.“ he said while pouting.
Nakita niya rin ang mga matang nakatitig kay Maureen. He got jealous and protective. So he walked fast towards that girl seating alone in that bench.
Sa oras na iyon ay tila ba bumagal ang oras at nakatutok na lamang ang lahat sa kanilang dalawa. Habang papalapit ng papalapit si Ivo kay Maureen ay napansin niyang unti-unti ng bumabagsak ang ulo nito dahil sa himbing ng pagkakatulog.
And the moment her head falls down, it lands directly to his shoulders. Ivo was so happy to make it on time. He can’t hide his smile, it keeps on showing. He bite his lips to stop himself from smiling. But apparently its not working at all.
“You’re so fragile mol, I need to be careful to not break you. You’re so precious.” Pabulong niyang sabi habang nakatitig sa dalaga.
Hindi siya nagsasalita sa takot na baka magising niya si Maureen.
He can’t contain his emotions anytimee pede na siyang sumabog sa kilig. Tahimik lamang siya pero deep inside naghuhumiyaw na ito at nagtatatalon sa saya.
It’s been months since he last saw her bestfriend whom he had a crush on for almost 5 years na. But in those years he never had the courage to confess, only Jake knows about this. Kaya palaging torpe tawag sa kanya ni Jake.
Jake is one of his closest and trusted friend since high school that’s why Ivo told him everything including his feelings for Maureen.
Sumasakit na ang balikat ni Ivo subalit hindi niya ito pinapansin dahil sa mahimbing na pagkakatulog ni Maureen.
“ Sana palagi na lang ganito, if I can just stop time then I’ll do it here and just stare at you the whole time.” pabulong nasabi ng binata habang nakangiti.
He keeps on looking at her face, analyzing every single part of it. Narealize niya na may dalawang mole pala si Maureen , one is in the right side of her face down her eyes and the other one is down at her right bottom lips.
Napalunok ito bigla, he wants to touch her cute mole on her lips. He can’t contain himself anymore, Papalapit na ng papalapit ang daliri ni Ivo sa may bandang labi ni maureen ng bigla itong magising-
