2 Reminiscing

She was drifted to the past while staring the broken car.

Years back at home.

Her mom sitting where her Dad used to sit beside him while holding their hands.And she carrying Granite on her lap sitting on a pillow on the floor all ears listening to her.

“ Today is our 20th wedding anniversarry , missed his warm hand holding mine. He died without going back in his pack to clear his name. All theses years your Dad image to his pack is an unhonorable man, despite being an heir. So before I die, I want to tell you something very important that has been hidden because he promised not to be told. A promised even in death buried with him. But I know as a parent, he never want you to know that his image was stained before we left his pack and decided to live away from his pack, from his family and maybe even from his friends. It is time for you and Granite needs to go back because only your own can help you while you are growing ”. Her mother started and smiling to her and carresed her face. “ To understand dephtly your bloodline,” she added.

Anna Marie starts to narrate about her grandfather Philip Lewis, who is the mighty Alpha of the Moonblood pack was married to Eva Lewis and their first child is Grant Lewis, supposed to be an heir of the Moonblood pack.

“Your Grandfather Philip send his son Grant, your father to manage their company located outside their pack to a nearby city where humans lives as well. And Philip, being the Alpha attends the pack business,” she started and breathes heavily and with a sigh to continue and remembering the past.

As usual, Sapphire being impatiently listening,

"Mom, cut the suspense." She commented.

Her mother smile at her children and continue.

"İ am on my on job trainining that year and İ just started my first day to assist his Executive secretary for his major conference meeting. He was surprised when he saw me and came to hug me murmuring I am his mate. He never let me go that day until his meeting was finished.

At first I was confused what he meant, but when he met my parents he was happy to learn that my family was a descendant for shifters for any kind of shifters. That is why is we are mated though I am human. I fell in love at once without thlnking what he is and what he is capable or where he came from. Or maybe the mate bond as he was claiming. “ her mother continues.

"Wow! That was a new added information about descendant and the like from your family side." Sapphire glistens eyes holding Granite to her lap.

Anna Marie slightly smile with sadness, “ Even we were fated mates, his father already planned to unite him as chosen mate to the daughter of another alpha pack for alliance. After your father talked to my parents about our relationship being fated mates they did not disagree his plan to bring me with him. So when when we met his parents, Grant told her father that the unison of the daughter from the other pack will not push through because he found his fated mate and our bond was very strong , he doesnt want to be the next ruler if i am not to be his Luna."

"What happened next, Mommy?" Her voice with excitment and eagerness to know.

"They had a terrible row between your Dad and Grandfather. The union of both packs were already established and was known to all members. He separated us instantly , he imprisoned your Dad one of the rooms and he sent me home through their driver or warrior.

Your Grandmother ,Eva, was devastated when she look to her son sobbing and asking for help. She is a believer of fated mates and mate bond are to be respected. A moon Goddes gift pairing to her children for a purpose. She helped your Dad to escape and find me,“ she continued with teary eyes. “Once we were together, we flew out of country.”

"And really got worsen, when Philip cannot find us at the time of unison. But he never had a choice but to inform the Alpha that no more unison willl happen but they are still hoping for the alliances. The Alpha was very mad and even any form of alliance were not considered. The Alpha of the pack cut all the ties to the MoonBlood pack. The Alpha’s daughter , Maddie, went to Moonblood pack and apologized what his father decision. And she was delighted the unison didn’t take place. She just wanted to see and talk to Grant to clear things but his father followed her and attack Philip by shifting in seconds. His father grab his throat and throw him on the wall. Her mother Eva was there and saw her mate flew , she ran and helped him but the Alpha charged the Luna instead. Philip saw blood and rage that in front of him his Luna was hurt. He shifted to protect his Luna. Since Philip then that time was young and more fierce , he defeated the Alpha without any remorse for charging his Luna. His wolf took charge that moment and black out himself and when he was done, Maddie’s father was into pieces.”

Anna Marie was breathless upon finishing her story. But Sapphire has more question in mind. Why Maddie went to the pack to apologize. Instead just mere sound scape from her mouth.

"Oh.. !"

Anna Marie continues, “ A week after the Alpha death, his son , Ashley Arcos was appointed to took in charge the pack. “

"After the coronation and transfer of the title to the new Alpha, Maddie surfaces she was pregnant. And hearsay says Grant was the faher.“

“Your father was an honorable man, Sapphire , he stood beside me and fight for me and we started without nothing.He was sorry that Alpha Arcos died but never felt guilty.

He was glad he stood his own feet and fight for us. Because if not , you will not be born and Granite.

"So why Dad didn’t go back to the pack after so many years?”

"Because your Dad want me to be with him to go back and spent our lives together but your grandfather cannot accept a human in his pack who is weak in nature.”

"Mom... but that's unfair!"

“Your grandfather tried everything for the re-alliance of the Moonlit pack of the dead Alpha, but the new Alpha did not recosinder. Maybe beacuse what happens to his father . According to your father Alpha Harrison Arcos doesn’t like his first born son , to inherit his title. The late Alpha Harisson claiming , He wasnt ready for the responsiblity and not competent to lead the pack.That is the reason of the arranged unison. The Alpha saw great potential of Grant and the unison will unite the both pack to be more powerful and stronger among all the packs around them.”

"But still dad has the right to go back to his pack, Mommy? İt is his birth right to lead the pack? “

"There are lot of instances he tried not because he want to take his birth right but because of us, his family. However Alpha Philip never listen. When you turn 16 he tried to talk to your grandfather and accept us in returning in the pack because you have a blood of an Alpha wolf. But he said her grand daughter is weak beacuse of human blood running through her veins. At your 18 th birthday your dad received a letter from his younger sister, Alison. That her grand daughter can stay in the pack, to be train, to be strong. But your dad did not give way , he wants his whole family to be accepted.”

"What is the reason why grand father wants us to see ?”

"Maybe even you have human blood you are still an Alpha heir blood and maybe another arranged unison he is plotting. I dont know really. Your Grandfather handover and made Allison’s son Dane heir to be the Alpha of the pack. But still you are Grant ‘s heir, as I said you can be an asset.”

Those were the memories in her mind playing when she decided to accept the invitation. Even Granite cannot stop her ,she has a mission to know what exactly happened. What her Grandfather plotting. Why the sudden invitation came up. She just asked for a map thru GPS the location and did not accept any help on transportation. How could it hard to just show up.

She didn’t expect that she will sail a big ferry to accomodate her car plus another 2 hours of land driving to the pack itself.
