Damian’s face snapped to the side from the force of Melissa’s slap, but he didn’t react. His gaze softened, his expression unreadable. But Melissa was already bubbling with rage, her chest heaving with each breath.
“What is wrong with you! Are you crazy!”
“Yes,” Damian retorted. “I’m crazy. Crazy about keeping my family together. Crazy about protecting my daughter. Crazy about you.”
