10 Chapter 10: The Morning After
The next morning, the sound of rhythmic purring woke Rin. Kagari lay asleep next to him. Her arm lay draped over his chest and her tail had curled around his leg. A faint smile remained on her face. She stirred a moment later. “Good morning, Rin,” she whispered.
“My word. That got a little wild last night. I haven’t done this in far too long.”
“Could have fooled me.”
Rin rolled out of bed and prepared a quick bath. Kagari yawned, stretching her arms as far as she could. She watched Rin fill the tub while he hummed.
“I like that hum, catchy,” she said.
“I like it when you purr, so we’ll call it even.”
