26 Chapter 26: Pandemonium
Elrick and Adon galloped through the east side of the battle laden streets of Ariculon thwarting random acts of violence against the city’s minorities. Elrick witnessed a crowd of predatory citizens pry a child away from his mother. He slapped the reigns and dashed toward the depraved citizens. He slashed one of the assailants as he leaped from Adon’s back. The crowd swarmed. The furious mother pushed Elrick aside, critically wounding two of the attackers. Adon protected Elrick with a devastating kick that knocked the remaining two rioters away from him.
“Good boy, Adon. I’ll get you some more of those apples when we get out of this.”
