17 Chapter 17: Ozymandias
Maya forced herself to get a few hours of rest before their hunt for the escaped siblings. Her vivid dreams caused her to toss and turn. In her slumbering vision, Milara and Orion shared a quiet evening together in their home while Kaiden and Mira lay asleep in their cribs. Milara knitted two shirts for the children while Orion prepared dinner.
“I see the little ones have finally fallen asleep,” Orion said softly.
“Yes, it would seem so. I can see why Xia and Dorian have such a hard time with Kaiden. Mira, on the other hand, is very well behaved. I think her brother is going to be a little troublemaker.”
