(Logan's POV) I watched my brother as we waited to hear something about Maia. His face was set in a serious expression, no emotion was visible. Only someone that really knew him would know he was so far on edge he was close to jumping over it. I kept my cool, but at the same time I tried to see what I could pick up from Tayla. Nothing. "The bond is funny that way," Walker said suddenly. He looked at the floor while he faced me. He was trying to distract himself. "That's a complete understatement." I said, rubbing my forehead, trying to see what else I could think of. "My bond with Maia is almost nothing. I just pick up on her emotions: pain, fear, love..." He trailed off. Nobody else but me understood. Maia was the one person that kept my brother sane. A wolf with a purpose. Walker
