Chapter 29 Leander was completely oblivious to the initial uproar caused by his return and Morleigh’s death. While he laid in bed, feverish and often insensible, Kit, Daisy, and Chance dealt with questions from the authorities and dozens upon dozens of callers. The country magistrate wasn’t difficult to appease. The words of an earl and another earl’s brother easily satisfied him.
