“How many of those essays did Dearborne have time to read?” Seaforth asked. “Enough to impress Penelope,” Julien said mildly. The pair in question were in front of the massive round table again, after touring the entire castle. Rather than only being interested in how the castle related to Arthurian legend, Leander wanted to learn everything about the structure. Julien was content to follow along, enjoying the opportunity to watch Leander in his element. Seaforth, meanwhile, seemed to find the entire outing tiresome—something that was unusual for him. When he commented on the fact that they were viewing things that had nothing to do with King Arthur, Penelope reminded him rather sharply that Leander had never been in an actual castle before and that she thought his interest admirable.
