31 Jessie My body ached, but my memory served me well in reminding me where I lay when I came to—I managed to bite back a groan and take stock of my situation without moving to let Shiv and Linny know I woke. Still bound, I rested in an unchanged cabin except for the weak sunlight in the front window. I lay on my back on the hard, dirt floor by the fire.
