The next day after breakfast, Xavier had gone to the field where his warriors normally stayed for sparring in the morning.
“Alphas,” they chorused, bowing down.
I was sure that the Alpha pheromones that were coming out of Xavier and I already did the talking.
“Today,” he said, his voice echoing. I could see the warriors baring their necks in submission. I hadn’t really seen this side of Xavier since I had arrived. I smirked. Interesting, I thought.
