Eryx POV
I felt fear crawl into my body when I was about to delete the call log and heard footsteps. I deleted it immediately, and luckily it was already dark. I went to the back of a shelf in the office to hide. It wasn’t the Alpha’s office; I think it was his secretary’s office. Luckily, the footsteps already passed the office, so I went towards the door and checked through the peephole. There was no one in the passage.
I sneaked out quietly, found my way out of the office, and left for my room. It was a bit close to the office. I entered my room, and my heart was still racing.
I entered my room and breathed heavily.
“Where have you been?” I heard a voice that snapped my heartbeat and brought me back to reality.
