Navy SEALS, from the moment they pin on their tridents, are incredibly adaptable. Their training is designed to raise adaptability to the level of a primal instinct. This fundamental precept was severely tested during the weeks following the upload of what came to be called ePlatoon.
Except for his commander, Jerry Culp, Senior Chief Sam Bunker had more time in the barrel than anyone else in his platoon. He was shorter than most of his men but strong as an ox with lightning reflexes. No one had been able to best him in one-on-one combat, and he gave an excellent account of himself when there were four or five. Like his boss, he was fluent in Russian, Ukrainian, Mandarin, and Cantonese, but his fluency was less eloquent, more attuned to the street lingo
