CHAPTER 9 : RUDE BEHAVIOUR

-----------------PAST--------------------

It's been more than a month since the club incident. I joined another club as well. Martial arts.

These days Nathan and Noah are busier than usual. Ryan seems to be busy as well. I can only see Ryan or Noah. But not the two of them together except when we eat. Compared to the rest of the student council only these three seemed to busy these days.

Thinking about them l continued my work at grade 11 A1. The class monitor suddenly fell ill and their test papers were left alone in the student council office. Normally someone from the star section handles the things for the monitor until he or she returns. Nathan asked me to look after this stuff. I hope the monitor returns soon not because l can't handle this class but because of the girl who argued with us during my first day at the tennis club and currently glaring at me.

While distributing the papers she looked at me as if I'm her born enemy. When it was her turn she snatched the paper, muttering something under her breath. I was pretty much sure she was cursing me.

As I continued taking the scores of each student in the score sheet, l heard someone entering the room. I turned to see who came in and met a pair of pitch black eyes. I observed him for a second then remembered he's one of the guys from Nathan's team and a classmate from star section as well. He looked at the buzzing class before he turned to me. Calum introduced us. I can say he's an acquaintance.

" How can l help you Rick ? " I asked him as he turned to look at me.

" Calum and president are waiting for you in the security control room. They want to talk to you. Go meet them once you finish your work " Rick said without much expression. When it comes to expressions he's the same no, even worse than Calum sometimes.

" Sure. Are you going back to the S.C room? " We call it SC room in short.

" Yeah "

" Can you inform them I'll be there in fifteen minutes ? My work is almost done "

" Sure " He gave a monotonous reply before he left.

I sped up a little to complete my work. A certain someone's glare became too fierce to the point it started bothering me. I sorted out my stuff and left the class. I submitted the scores to the homeroom teacher of 11-A1 before leaving to look for Nathan and Calum.

I started wondering why Nathan and Calum looking for me. Nathan never involves any of us with the student council matters unless we're involved in it. Members other than student council are not allowed into the student council room and SC room without the permission from Nathan and Calum's in SC room.

The school Student council has sports, arts, literature and foreign exchange student committee along with Treasure, Disciplinary committe and broadcast committee.

After Nathan became the president, he made a team which is called shield. It is totally separated from student council and only Nathan and Calum are heads to it. Shield takes care of school online security. All the Heaven Garden schools. Since Calum also wants to talk to me, it might be a serious matter. But what is it? I checked the time. Already five minutes late. I have reach them as soon as possible. I reached the hallway and turned to the left of the hallway suddenly stopped walking, seeing five students standing across me as if waiting for someone.

I shook my head saying myself that l was thinking too much. I resumed walking forward only for them to stop me. Two boys stood infront of me with another two girls behind them. Leaning on the wall is Lainie Daniel who for some reason trying to look calm but l can still pick up her expression.

" Excuse me. Do you need something ? " I asked keeping myself cool. They merely looked at me with an arrogant look. I feel like punching them right now and make their eyes go purple. I know Nathan and others will ask me lots of questions because usually l'm right on time but l have to deal with this without making a big mess.

" All that polite behavior only for show....tch " the girl behind the boy stopping me from the left sneered. I continued watching them without saying anything.

" Such a pretty little thing you're. Maybe you can use it in the entertainment industry " the guy standing on the right said. Pretty boy. That's what he looks like with his cute face features along with his doe like eyes. I wonder how many people were cheated by his appearance.

" Now what happened? Did you become dumb? Wasn't you all shouting and giggling with them " I honestly don't know who these people are until I met them in 11- A1 except for Lainie. One thing l understood till now, they want to show their power, to warn me about my relationship with my friends. Most probably about Nathan. His family is the largest supporters and investors of Heaven Garden and he himself is the student council president after all.

I don't have much time and their arrogant and proud looks kind of started irritating me.

" I don't have to be polite to the people who are hindering others from their work " l sharply looked at the girl who commented on my behaviour. Then l turned my attention to the pretty boy " and you pretty boy, don't use entertainment industry as a subject to insult someone. Especially when you have a friend working in the same industry " I indirectly said Lainie Daniel belongs to the same field. She's a top teen model under the stage name of Laila,

is now a popular rising actress but no one knows whether she wants to pursue that career.

" Enough! " Lainie probably got my point and walked towards me. The way she's walking, honestly speaking, now l understand why she's a popular model.

Heaven Garden isn't strict with students about the overall appearance as long as we're presentable in our uniforms. We have permission to choose our accessories and present our own personal style.

As a model Lainie shows a perfect pose with confidence and Elegance even though her elegance seems a bit forced and not like Aria who is natural. This high school uniform look is tough to pull off because she looks a bit mature but that didn't flatter her confidence.

" I apologise for stopping you like this Maya and also for my friend's rude behaviour " She calmly hiding her anger " I simply wanted to say something to you but don't you think you were rude to my friends as well "

I raised a brow amusingly at her. Trying to start a fight huh? That too trying pointing out mistakes at me so that it looks like l started the fight. Childish. I snorted.

" Even after knowing that I'm having some important work but still trying to stop me here shows that you're not really sorry " The small smile on her face disappeared as listened my words. " As for my so called rude behaviour towards your friends, if someone got offended by my friend's rude behaviour, I'd rather apologise than answering back that they're rude as well just because they simply stated the facts "

" Hey! Who do you think you're for Laila to apologise to you ? " the other girl said.

" And that's what l call a rude behaviour " I said pointing at her with a smile. She slowly started losing control on her anger.

" Is she wrong though ? " Lainie said in a low voice that sounded like a mere whisper. Her eyes showing the signs of anger

" who do you think you are and what do you think of your self ? Just because l showed a little bit of respect to you doesn't mean you can talk to me as you wish! Don't think that being in star section will make you equal to us or them! and please stop acting all miss goody two shoes infront of them to get what you want! Have some shame-- "

" Ms. Lainie Daniel " I cut her off in a serious no nonsense tone " instead of trying to insult me how about you come to the point. I don't have much time to spare "

" fine! " She glared at me for spoiling her plan to provoke me. " I don't know and don't care what plans you have for the rest of them but don't you dare have any thoughts on Calum!! "

Huh? Excuse me? I was expecting Nathan there. Where the heck did Calum come from? What's going on ?

" What? " I'm confused now.

" What? Shocked? Do you think no one will observe you stealing looks at Calum and how you're taking every opportunity to be close to him especially at Tennis club " Lainie scoffed. " Calum is treating you better because president Nathan treating you better since day one. They don't know what you really are. A pretentious person. I can see the oogling look of yours every time you look at Calum. I don't know what's the shameful story behind your transfer but I'm sure you don't want others to know about your despicable story. Don't you think so ? "

She's finally able to make stupefied. I stood there blankly trying to process what she said. I never cared and still don't what people think of me as long as my reputation isn't harmed. But for the first time someone threatened me with my reputation.

" Oh! Seems like Ms. Daniel is having a problem with the school's decision. Even seems to be suspicious of higher ups actions " I heard a familiar voice from behind. It sounded frosty sending chills down my spine. This is the first time I've heard him like that.
