Min-Ho's words hung in the air like a challenge. Ji-Hyun's mind reeled with questions.
"Why?" Su-Ho demanded, his voice low and menacing.
Min-Ho's eyes pleaded for understanding. "Chairman Lee has my sister, Hana. He'll harm her if I don't cooperate."
Ji-Hyun's heart ached for Min-Ho, trapped in Chairman Lee's web.
"We'll help you save Hana," Ji-Hyun promised.
Min-Ho's expression twisted in anguish. "It's too late. I've already told Chairman Lee about your escape."
Su-Ho's face darkened. "You led them here."
Min-Ho nodded, tears streaming down his face. "Forgive me."
Ji-Hyun's father stepped forward, his voice calm. "We need to keep moving."
As they proceeded through the tunnel, Ji-Hyun couldn't shake off the feeling of unease.
"Min-Ho, what else did you tell Chairman Lee?" Ji-Hyun asked.
Min-Ho hesitated before speaking. "I revealed your father's research location."
Su-Ho's eyes flashed with anger. "You'll pay for this."
Ji-Hyun intervened, placing a hand on Su-Ho's arm. "Not now. We need to focus on escape."
The tunnel opened up into a dimly lit cavern. Ji-Hyun's father led them toward a hidden exit.
But as they reached the door, Chairman Lee's voice boomed from the shadows.
"You'll never escape
Chairman Lee emerged from the shadows, flanked by heavily armed guards.
"Su-Ho, you've disappointed me," Chairman Lee said, his voice dripping with venom.
Su-Ho stood tall, defiance burning in his eyes. "I'll never join you."
Chairman Lee sneered. "You'll change your mind when you see Ji-Hyun's father's research."
Ji-Hyun's heart sank. Chairman Lee had manipulated them.
Min-Ho stepped forward, determination etched on his face. "I won't let you harm Hana or anyone else."
Chairman Lee laughed. "You're too late. Hana is already..."
A faint cry echoed through the cavern, followed by the sound of footsteps.
"Hana!" Min-Ho shouted, rushing toward the sound.
A young woman, Hana, stumbled into the cavern, her eyes wild with fear.
"Min-Ho!" she cried, rushing into his arms.
Chairman Lee's smile twisted. "How touching. Family reunions are so...heartwarming."
Su-Ho charged forward, but Ji-Hyun grabbed his arm.
"Wait," she whispered. "We need a plan."
Ji-Hyun's father nodded. "I have an idea."
He pulled out a small device, pressing a button. The cavern began to shake.
"What's happening?" Chairman Lee demanded.
Ji-Hyun's father smiled grimly. "You'll soon find out."
