Su-Ho's words echoed in Ji-Hyun's mind as they sped through the city. She felt a glimmer of hope, but doubts lingered.
"Su-Ho, how can I trust you?" Ji-Hyun asked, her voice barely above a whisper.
Su-Ho's eyes locked onto hers, his gaze burning with intensity. "I'll prove it to you, Ji-Hyun. I'll help you rescue your father."
Ji-Hyun searched his face, seeking reassurance. "But what about the Serpent's Circle? You're one of them."
Su-Ho's expression twisted in anguish. "I'm trapped, Ji-Hyun. But I want out. I want to break free."
Ji-Hyun's heart ached for him. "Help me save my father, and I'll help you escape."
Su-Ho's smile was faint, but determined. "Deal."
Together, they devised a plan to infiltrate the Serpent's Circle's headquarters. Ji-Hyun's heart pounded as they approached the towering skyscraper.
"Ready?" Su-Ho asked, his hand on the door handle.
Ji-Hyun steeled herself. "Let's do this."
As they stepped into the lion's den, Ji-Hyun realized that Su-Ho's loyalty was still uncertain. Was he truly on her side, or playing a deadly game?
(Note: The stakes are rising! Will Ji-Hyun and Su-Ho succeed in rescuing her father?)
Ji-Hyun's heart raced as they slipped into the high-rise building, avoiding security guards and cameras. Su-Ho led the way, his knowledge of the layout guiding them deeper.
They reached the elevator, and Su-Ho punched in a code. The doors slid open, revealing a dimly lit corridor.
"This way," Su-Ho whispered, gesturing down the hall.
Ji-Hyun followed, her senses on high alert. They stopped at a door marked "Authorized Personnel Only." Su-Ho produced a keycard and swiped it.
The door creaked open, revealing a room filled with rows of computer servers and a single figure - Ji-Hyun's father.
"Father!" Ji-Hyun rushed to his side, tears of joy streaming down her face.
But her father's expression was grim. "Ji-Hyun, get out of here. Now."
Su-Ho stepped forward, his eyes locked on Ji-Hyun's father. "It's too late. We're already in this together."
Ji-Hyun's father sighed. "Su-Ho, you're making a grave mistake."
Suddenly, the door slammed shut behind them, trapping them inside. The lights flickered, and a voice boomed from the shadows.
"Welcome, Ji-Hyun. Welcome, Su-Ho. You'll make perfect additions to our collection."
Ji-Hyun's heart sank. They were caught.
(Note: The trap is sprung! Will Ji-Hyun, Su-Ho, and Ji-Hyun's father escape?)
The voice in the shadows sent chills down Ji-Hyun's spine. She turned to Su-Ho, her eyes pleading for reassurance.
Su-Ho's jaw clenched, his gaze scanning the room. "Don't worry, Ji-Hyun. We'll get out."
But Ji-Hyun's father shook his head. "It's over. They've won."
The lights flickered again, and a figure emerged from the shadows. Ji-Hyun's eyes widened as she recognized the face.
"Chairman Lee," Ji-Hyun whispered, her voice trembling.
Chairman Lee, Su-Ho's father and the leader of the Serpent's Circle, smiled coldly. "Welcome, Ji-Hyun. You're just in time to witness the beginning of our new era."
Su-Ho took a step forward, his eyes blazing with defiance. "You'll never get away with this."
Chairman Lee chuckled. "Oh, but I already have. The Circle's influence spreads far and wide. No one can stop us now."
Ji-Hyun's determination ignited. She wouldn't let Chairman Lee win.
"What do you want from us?" Ji-Hyun demanded.
Chairman Lee's gaze locked onto Ji-Hyun's father. "Your research, Dr. Kim. The secrets you've kept hidden for so long."
Ji-Hyun's father stood tall, despite the danger. "I'll never tell you."
Chairman Lee's smile grew wider. "We'll see about that."
And with that, the room plunged into darkness, leaving Ji-Hyun, Su-Ho, and Ji-Hyun's father at the mercy of the Serpent's Circle.
