Amaris could see Matthias through the window into Damon’s treehouse. She knew he would come here. She ducked out of her treehouse and swung onto tree 4643. She entered unannounced and looked around the room. Adam, Kane, Shane, and Lyla were standing with Matthias and a few others she recognized from the camp. She told Adam that Audrey was in her treehouse and he was gone before the sentence could finish.
Amaris called the others to come into Damon’s treehouse. She decided to let Mageria, Audrey, and Damon remain in her home for now. They had serious things they needed to discuss and they needed to rest. So did Dimitri by the looks of him. He was too proud to say it, but carrying Damon around had taken most of his strength. But Amaris was more grateful to him than she could ever express.
