Women are always fragile; she's no exception. He lay on his bed, cigarette dangling from his lips as smoke curled through the room, heavy with its scent. The morning sun was already beaming with an alluring radiance... "She and Vickie emerged to spot the unknown agent, who still stood firm beside the car. Did he sleep while standing?? She wondered. Good morning, ma'am. Kelvin greeted. Eddie was silent for a while; what's with the greeting?? Kelvin, please, I'm not your employer. I disavow your lordship treatment. I'm… The words stopped before she could complete it. She didn't realize Vickie was still here… Nevermind, she said, gripping the car door knob. Can we get going now?? He didn't want to get on Nickel's bad books. Vickie glared at Kelvin, still not saying a word. You talk far too much, she finally spoke, shoving him away to go into the car. Excuse you, and who in the hell are you?? He said, glancing down to see who was talking. "Your worst nightmare” fool. You don't have to be so mean, Vick, Eddie whispered to her sister. ..... The drive was a quiet one; in the rearview mirror, Vickie hurled curses at Kelvin, watching his face stare back at her. He's good-looking, but far too serious, she mumbled. She mouthed a string of expletives, her lips curling into a scowl. Kelvin's eyes at the other end widened in surprise, raising an eyebrow at her… Her vented frustration stopped halfway, realizing Eddie was gazing at her. Her muttered insults aimed squarely at the person in front of the wheel. Vickie Stop glaring at him; Eddie's bewildered expression only seemed to fuel Vickie's irritation. The Bugatti Chiron hadn't even shut off before it rolled to a stop at the mansion. Eddie and Vickie got out, walked in, and there he was, already waiting in the living room. *I never expected you to come so early; I thought you were going to run off somewhere. With every words which emanated from him, giving a devilish smirk. How could I possibly escape with your agent 2x around? Your sister is prettier than you are, Nickel's eyes lingered over Vickie. Yeah, I'm pretty, but prettier than the creatures living with you, Vickie bluffed, pushing a strand of hair to her ear. Creature?? Kelvin muffled,, , I will deal with her really soon. ** Drop those luggages and let's head off to work. ** The sudden command sent shivers through her, her dreams falling back into place like shattered glass. The birds chirping outside agreed with him, with euphoria in its celebration. But Mr.? ... no buts. He interrupted, getting up from the couch. Don't keep me waiting at the office?but I'm not familiar with your office, she screamed after him. She boarded a cab for his company, wondering why he hadn't let her go with him. The short, straight gown, which she wore to portray her mistress role, clung to her, her long, wavy hair spilling over her shoulders. Every step into his office, her hands drifted down to tug the hem lower. " Good morning" she greeted as she entered. She stood at the door watching Nickel as he pretended to be engrossed in his work. ,,,Are you sick in the head? He questioned her still not giving her attention. Sick, you mean?? I'm not sick, her forehead squeezed in anger. “" Why are you dressed like that?? "Come closer to me”.. She approached his table step by careful step, dread in every movement, hands still pulling at her gown. ,,,what was he up to ?? Her eyes dropped to her wristwatch as she twisted the strap, anything to hide the shake in her hands. Those words rang in her ear. ,, I don't bite, Eddie. He stood up, moving towards her as she approached him. ,, he stopped two inches away from her, resting his hand on her hair. A strand of hair dropped across her face, turning her into something he ached for to taste. He isolated one strand, rolling it over his index finger. ,, Gosh!! Why was temptation chasing her in each corner? She shivered, turning away from him; his gaze alone could strike her and make her lose her balance. "You need to change those rags. I need no change from you, Mr. Nickel. I'm your mistress, not one of your employees. ,,, the devilish smirk stayed as he studied her. “ I like your fire. But this is my territory. My company, my decision. You are mine. Never forget that. This mansion isn't that bad, she murmured, taking it all in. It's luxurious. Kelvin followed in her wake, gaze never leaving her. She finally stopped and faced him. Must you follow me to every corner??
