I pull a chair up and motion for Luke to sit. I pull up another chair across from him. He puts his bag on the ground and sits back, looking at me expectantly.
I'm not sure what to say. I don't want to jump into "I'm in love with your sister but I thought she was a different person when I did but I just found out who she is and she hates my guts and she almost died cuz she tried to drink herself to death and by the way she's underweight and malnourished."
I balance my elbows on my outstretched legs and absentmindedly bounce my fingers together. I let out a deep breath.
"Soooo... I found Lola yesterday at a park, drinking herself to death. I'm not sure how much she had and I brought her home... "
He's giving me a look. "Why the hell were you there?" He crosses his arms.
