Declan’s POV
My alarm was blaring, rousing me out of my peaceful slumber. I swore under my breath as I fumbled with it to turn it off. When I found Emmy on Friday evening, I had already decided to take this week off work to spend time with her but had stupidly forgotten to turn off my alarm.
I had just turned it off when I felt Emmy stir next to me and groan. “What time is it?”
I laid back down, wrapping my arm around her body, “Seven.”
“Why are we awake at this ungodly hour? Didn’t we only go to sleep an hour ago?” She whined, a cute little pout forming on her face, “I blame you.”
I faked a shocked look, “me? What did I do?”
“Every time I tried to sleep, you did something with your hands or your mouth and wouldn’t let me.” She accused, not even bothering to open her eyes back up.
