Morning passed easily, and I was invited to attend the arbitration Alexander had requested. I was in the middle of choosing what to wear, with Kathleen's help, while she lay on my bed munching peanuts.
"So," she said, her voice casual but tinged with an edge. "Are you and my brother really okay? I heard from the scout that you two were caught up in a heated argument—it scared him pretty badly."
