Kyle’s lips continued to move against hers, more slow and deliberate,His hand cupped her jaw, steady, careful, and the weight of his body pressed closer as if he was afraid she might push back if he let go. Quinn’s head spun. Every nerve in her body lit up where his fingers caressed softly against her skin. Her mind kept screaming that this was wrong, but her body betrayed her. Instead of pulling away, she leaned into him more. After a long moment, she pulled back just to whisper, her lips brushing his softly. “Kyle…” His forehead rested against hers, his breathing heavy and hard. “I know,” he murmured, his voice cracking “ i know I shouldn’t be doing this, he continued saying”. He paused then said softly like a whisper, “But I can’t stop wanting you.” Her chest tightened. The wanting and rawness in his voice was very clear. She had never heard him speak to her like that. “Then why…” her voice soft but low. “Why were you kissing her?” She said feeling like she was being lied too. His jaw flexed. Guilt filled up his eyes, He takes a deep breath and says, “Because I thought it would make it easier. I thought if I kept distracting myself, if I pretended you didn’t mean anything to me, maybe this would fade.” His voice lowered, almost cracking as he said the last part. Her throat dried up. The confession wasn’t what she expected but she was excited to hear that he also felt the same way about her. “You hurt me,” she whispered, her voice trembling as she said it. Kyle froze, his hand caressing her hand, “I know,” he said, his tone sharp. “I’ve hated myself for it, I’m sorry .” He says apologetically. “Then don’t hurt me again,” she said sadly. His gaze softened, but it burned with something deeper now. The kiss deepened almost instantly. Then all over again, he shifts gripping her waist and lifting her untop of him. A soft gasp escaped her as he pulled her onto his lap, His grip on her was strong, steady, Quinn wasn’t thinking about what was right or wrong. She wasn’t thinking about the girl in the car or the words that had cut her so deeply the day before. All she could think about was him, the way he looked at her like she was the only person that existed. the way he kissed her like he’d been holding back for so long. Kyle pulled back just enough to look at her once again. “Tell me to stop,” he whispered, “Please. If you want me to, I’ll stop.” Her lips parted, her heartbeat thundering against her ribs. She looked at him and knew they both wanted this, and didn’t want to stop. His fingers found the zipper of her dress almost without thought. He hesitated for the briefest moment, his lips brushing hers, his breath ragged. But when she didn’t pull away—when she kissed him harder, tugging at his hair—he gave in. Slowly, he began slipping her dress down her shoulder, his knuckles grazing her skin. Quinn gasped softly at the contact, her pulse racing fast, as the dress slipped lower. Showing more of her to him. “Kyle…” she whispered, breathless, half lost between fear and desire. He pulled back just enough to look at her again , his hand still tangled at her waist. “Tell me to stop,” he murmured. But she didn’t. She didn’t want to. Instead, she leaned in again, kissing him with a desperate plee. That was all the permission he needed. His fingers pushed her dress further down,, sliding it off her shoulder completely. His lips traced down her boobs, leaving her trembling in his lap. He starts kissing her from her jaw and starts going down slowly. Quinn gasping and tugging at his hair with every touch. Before he could explore more, Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. Buzz. The sound cut through the silence and pleasure. Kyle tried to ignore it, but it Rand the second time. He stops kissing Quinn and rests his forehead against hers. He stretches his hand inside his pockets, to get his phone out, and sees the caller name. Quinn’s stomach knotted as she saw the name on the screen. Audrey She sighed deeply. The perfect girl. The one she’d seen in the car. The one whose lips had been on him while she sat in the back, that ride home. Kyle’s jaw tightened as he stared at the phone, thumb hovering over the screen. “What does she want” he muttered, but with a slight hesitation in his voice. Quinn stood up from his lap, she wore her dress back. Sudden coldness feeling up the warmth between them. She hated the feeling in her chest, the way her heart became bitter at the sight of her name. “What else ,” she whispered, the word tasting so bitter on her tongue. Kyle looked up at her, his eyes sharp, he looked conflicted. He knew he couldn’t give any counter or explanation to why she’s calling, before he could think of what to say, the phone buzzed once more in his hand, cutting the moment in half. Quinn turned away before he could say anything, blinking fast against the burn behind her eyes. She didn’t want to cry again. He had promised her he wouldn’t hurt her anymore but was already hurting her. She felt so sad, he was obviously using her, maybe to hurt her step brother or to prove he has slept with almost all the girls in his grade.
