Two There were pros and cons to keeping every cardboard box I got my hands on. The pros, I would be able to find the box Jester arrived in. The cons? I wasn't able to find it at the exact time I wanted it. I looked at the room dedicated to all the packaging I saved over the years. There were old hat boxes from the turn of the century, boxes from shoes I hadn’t worn in decades, flimsy boxes stacked up to the ceiling. The cons were pretty obvious. What had started as a sensible habit was now looking eerily like hoarding. Still, I couldn’t find it in myself to throw them away. After all, there was a box for every occasion. But now wasn't the time to deal with the potential implications of my hoarding habit, that could wait until I had a deadline or something else important to do. Nothing
