Fifteen
Excitement mixed with nerves as I stood in front of the infamous Dragon bar. It had seemed like such a good idea, but now that we were here, it was quite intimidating. The urge to wrap my arms around myself intensified as we stepped through the ornate golden doors.
"Derek..."
"You okay?" he asked, looking at me concerned.
"Maybe we shouldn’t…”
"I thought you wanted to meet some Dragons?”
I sighed. I did and I wanted answers, but going to a dragon bar was quite a stretch. But if I didn’t do this, I’d never figure out what was going on and leaving things unsolved was not my style.
With my stomach twisted in a knot, I pushed the heavy door open. Ready or not, I just had to get it over with.
