Beautiful nightmare

CLAIRE On a rainy Tuesday afternoon, exactly fourteen days since he walked out of my apartment, I sat at my desk after the final bell. " Pick me up at 4:00." The rain was hammering against the classroom windows by the time four o'clock rolled around. An unfamiliar, sleek black sports car was idling in the drop-off lane. The sleek frame glistened under the grey sky, its engine purring with a low rumble. Levi was sitting behind the wheel, his large hands gripping the steering wheel, his dark eyes fixed on the rain-slicked windshield ahead. "You missed your deadline by two minutes, little teacher," he murmured, his deep voice filling the quiet car. "The bell ran late," I replied smoothly, leaning back against the leather seat and crossing my legs. "Nice wheels. Is this the doctor car or the monster car?" A slow, dangerous smirk tugged at the corner of his lips as he finally turned his head to look at me. "Whichever one you want it to be, Claire." I just watched the road until we approached a massive fork on the highway. To the right, the signs pointed towards the secluded, affluent hills far outside the town limits—the route to his sprawling, ultra-modern estate. To the left, the road looped right back towards the heart of the city, straight towards my apartment. Levi didn't slow down. He smoothly flipped his blinker to the right. "Cancel the signal, Levi," I commanded. "Take the left." "We're going to my place, Claire. We have things to settle." "No, we don't," I countered smoothly."You wanted me under your skin, Doctor. You wanted to claim me. But I don't operate in the shadows of your sprawling fortress where you get to play god and dictate the terms." The car was closing in on the physical split in the tarmac, the rain hammering hard against the windshield. "If you want to be a part of my life—monster, doctor, or whatever else you are—you're going to do it on my turf. Take the left. We're going to my apartment." Levi’s jaw clenched so hard a muscle twitched in his cheek. His dark eyes flashed to the rearview mirror. At the absolute last second, he yanked the steering wheel hard to the left. Levi let out a low, dark chuckle that vibrated right through the leather seats. "You have a lot of nerve, little teacher. You think commanding the car means you command me?" "I guess we're about to find out," I replied, leaning back comfortably and crossing my legs. "Keep driving, Hilton." Levi followed me in, and the entire atmosphere of my small apartment instantly shifted. He just stood near the door, his dark eyes tracking me with a heavy, unblinking intensity. The truth was, I wasn't stupid. I knew exactly who—and what—he was. I was fully aware that in his world of money, power, and underground violence, I had absolutely no real leverage over him. If he wanted to break me, he could. But if I was going to be caught in his web, I wasn't going to crawl into it willingly. For a long, agonizing minute, neither of us spoke. The only sound was the steady patter of rain against the windowpane. "What exactly do you want from me, Levi?" I asked. "You’re a prestigious doctor by day, and whatever else you are by night. You have an empire, a territory, and a club full of dangerous men. So tell me. Why are you wasting your time tormenting a school teacher?" A slow, wicked smile tugged at the corner of his lips, his dark eyes locking onto mine. He took one deliberate step forward, invading my space entirely. He tilted his head slightly, his dark eyes dropping to my lips. "I like your eyes," he murmured, his deep voice dropping into a gravelly whisper. His jaw tightened, a dark, wicked promise flashing in his gaze as he leaned down, his breath brushing warm against my ear. "They'd look better looking up at me when taking my c**k," he whispered, "Like a good girl." I leaned forward, closing the last remaining inch between us until my chest pressed directly against his crossed arms. "Then make me, Levi Hilton," I whispered, the words dripping with a dangerous, intoxicating defiance. I tilted my chin up, my lips almost on his. "Make me your little pet." Levi’s entire frame went completely rigid. His eyes darkened to pitch black, the muscles in his jaw clenching hard. His large hands uncrossed, his thick fingers wrapping firmly around the front of my throat. "Careful," he growled, "You play with a monster long enough, and you don't get to ask for your life back." My own hand slid down the smooth fabric of his shirt, the expensive lining smooth against my palm. Slowly, my fingers found their way on his belt. The arch of his waist provided enough space for my hand to fit.My hand now lay on his monster. The warmth pulsating from it matching the heat in my groin. I gripped him deliberately, letting my fingers squeeze with an unyielding force. Levi’s breath hitched sharply, a sudden, ragged break in his perfectly controlled facade as my touch caught him entirely off guard. I leaned up, my lips brushing the edge of his jaw as I let out a low, mocking hum. "Indeed," I whispered against his skin, my grip tightening just enough to prove my point. "I could play with such a monster." I held his gaze for one more heartbeat, letting the suffocating heat of the moment simmer between us, before deliberately releasing my grip. "That was for fondling my n*****s the other night," I whispered. I walked over to my front door, gripped the handle, and threw it wide open to the dark, rainy hallway.I turned back to face him. "And now would be the right time for you to leave, Mr. Hilton." He adjusted his cuffs, his dark eyes burning with a lethal mix of shock and pure fascination. He walked towards the exit. "You're a beautiful nightmare, Claire," he murmured.
