Information about the Jade Orchid Sect is not difficult to find, although the general introduction provides very little detail. Records indicate that the earliest mention of the Jade Orchid Sect dates back approximately six hundred years, before the Tang Dynasty was even established, a period of tripartite division among various states. The sect was initially founded by a woman who took only one disciple, her niece. According to records, the master and disciple traveled the world for decades without much recognition; the sect wasn't even called Jade Orchid Sect at that time, and it's possible they weren't even a sect in the traditional sense.
