DAMIAN'S POV Convincing Tessa to do anything was always an uphill battle. Our arguments had become a daily ritual. I hated it, yet strangely, I couldn’t imagine us without the constant fighting. Tessa had a way of making everything a challenge, of pulling words from me with her stubbornness. It frustrated me yet I craved it. In fact, I liked it even though I wouldn't admit it to myself. The banter, our clashes, the fights, the fact that she wouldn't just let me get away with anything. I wasn't used to a woman standing up to me.
