The secret Alpha

The office

Lily’s POV

After I took a shower I out my ginger waist length hair up in a nice bun. I put on the dress GiGi picked out for me, wondering why on earth this was happening. It sure wasn’t because of my birthday and I hadn’t even gotten my wolf so I couldn’t even leave. None of it made sense.

I make my way to Alpha Ruben’s office when I bump into a tall buff guy. I look up to see the most beautiful green eyes ever. Embarrassed I quickly look at the ground apologising to the unknown man. The tall man lifted my chin to look me in the eyes and only then I realised how handsome he is. His green eyes looked filled with worry, his dark hair looked messy and kept at the same time, his muscles were huge and I saw the tip of what looked like a tattoo on his left shoulder.

*snap* he snaps his fingers at me. “Hello? Miss, are you okay?” Even his voice is beautiful, his deep voice gives me tingles all over my body. His eyes keep shooting up and down my body. “Miss?!” He almost shouts. I snap out of it and finally respond. “I am so so sorry sir, I-I should have minded where I was going sir.” I mutter. He looks at me and starts laughing. “I thought you were never going to respond, could you point me to Alpha Ruben’s office please? I have an appointment.” The handsome man asks. “O-o-of course, I-I was on my way there” I mutter. “Great” the man says, “I am Alpha Derek, what is your name?”

I look at him in disbelief. This is the great Alpha Derek, the slayer of packs, the playboy of the angel pack?! He was so nice to me! I take a little too long to respond as he starts with the “miss” again. “I’m sorry, you are Alpha Derek?” I say, “my name is Lily, let’s go though, it’s already 9:20, I am supposed to be in the office in 10 minutes”

We walk through the halls quietly as we quickly make our way to Alpha Ruben’s office. I knock on the door and both me and Alpha Derek enter the office. I awkwardly shuffle to the bookcase in his office terrified to even breathe the wrong way. Alpha Ruben gestures for both Alpha Derek and me to sit down in the dark red chairs opposite of his desk.

He looked at Alpha Derek, “welcome Alpha Derek” he says I a cheery tone. “I am Alpha Ruben of the moon shadow pack. Can I offer you a drink?” Alpha Derek says he only wants a water and Alpha Ruben looks at me so I make sure to grab it for him, I get up and walk out. Still not knowing what is happening I return with a water for Alpha Derek and a Whiskey for Alpha Ruben.

As I enter the room there is complete and utter silence. I walk up to the men and quietly hand them their drinks. I then walk back to the book case where i wait for further instructions. Alpha Ruben looks at me weird for a second before regaining his composure, “I need you to pack up all of your belongings, you are going with Alpha Derek to the angel pack.”

My jaw drops to the floor, “wha- what do you mean” I stammer “I didn’t do anything wrong, I-I” Alpha Ruben cuts me off “ I sold you to Alpha Derek for protection, you have finally proven yourself useful”. I look at him in shock, I always knew I was only an omega in this pack but never in a million years would I have expected to be sold to a ruthless Alpha.

As I stand in shock Alpha Derek turns around, he looks at me with a faint smile and an emotion I can’t quite place. “Do you need help packing Lily?” He asks me. I feel the heat rush to my cheeks “no thank you Alpha Derek, I’ll be right back with my stuff” I say quickly, rushing out of the office through the back door to my shed.

It took me 5 minutes to pack all my stuff as I don’t have many belongings. I turn around only to see Alpha Derek look at me with disgust. “This is where you live?!” He asks me in a rude tone. I drop my gaze and tell him softly “yes, this is where I live, I don’t have a family so they put me here, I work at the pack house to pay rent.” Had he not been a wolf he wouldn’t have even heard me. “I understand if you don’t want me anymore, frankly, I don’t even understand why you bought me in the first place.” I say with my head down.

Alpha Derek looks at me, his gaze softens. “I actually bought you for a very important reason” he said. After that he stayed quiet, I carefully look up at him he looks at me with concern and when his eyes meet mine he say s “you don’t know, do you?” I take in the concern on his face, “what do you mean?” I ask him. He shakes his head, “I’ll tell you when we get home.” He said.

Alpha Derek picks up my duffel bag, that small bag contained all of my belongings. To be exact, that bag contained 3 T-shirts, 2 Pairs of jeans, 1 pair of joggers, 3 sweatshirts and a toy I’ve had since birth. It’s the only thing reminding me of my real family, the toy is a small silver baby rattle. All of my belongings were in that bag.

As we walk to the front of the pack house Alpha Derek looks at the house with anger, in complete silence we walk up to a beautiful white Porsche, Alpha Derek throws my duffel in the car, opens the door and gestures me to get in. I sit down and try to make myself as small as possible. The whole 45 minute drive neither of us speaks a word.

In the 45 minutes awkwardly silent car ride to the angel pack I see Alpha Dereks eyes shift between me and the door. “I’m not going to jump out of a moving car” I say to him jokingly. He frowns, “have they not told you anything about why they sold you” using air quote’s with the word sold.

I look at him confused, “no I told you this already” I respond to him. “I didn’t even get my wolf at my birthday so I wasn’t causing them any trouble.” Alpha Derek shakes his head, still not saying anything to me. He has a stern look at is face which only enhances his gorgeous features. He turns to look at me with his green eyes, “all will be revealed soon” he says, “we are here.” I look out of the window and see a gorgeous huge pack house, or better, a pack villa.
