Chapter 34Five minutes later Zofia drove to Main Street. The aroma of barbecue impregnated the dense air while a circus-like excitement percolated through the crowd. She hadn't even considered the improbability of finding a parking spot. Cars and trucks filled every available space within four blocks forcing Zofia to park five blocks away. Instead of walking she chose to transvect—looking to make sure no one was around—she levitated two inches off the sidewalk.
