She nearly careened into a patrolman as he was trudging out. “Morning, Mrs. Grandier, may I help you?” he asked amicably. It was Sergeant Williams from the night at the Tuestad's. “Yes—uh—I need to—” “Zofia! Over here.” Richard's voice boomed from the vicinity of the front desk.
