Chapter NineItem—Maisie the sow delivered an even dozen piglets the day before yesterday. Delighted parents, Jan and Evan Beatty of R.R. 2, Freedom Township, were overjoyed at the news. “Maisie's like my very own child,” exclaimed Jan Beatty, 41. “We couldn't be happier. Said Evan Beatty:”The Lord has blessed us mightily on this day." The piglets were all named Maisie after the sow and weighed between 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 pounds each at birth.
Item—A coroner's jury will commence today at the Old Courthouse to determine the circumstances in and around the death of Norma Jennings, aged 22. Miss Jennings died in a boating accident three days ago. The driver of the high-powered speedboat, Blake Rothwell, 21, son of prominent developer, Phillip Rothwell, is expected to be called as a key witness. D
