Chapter ElevenI rushed back to The Gazette to work on my feverishly scribbled notes hoping to beat them into shape before the afternoon session. Proceeding down Perkins Avenue, I imagined the entire town, the streets, shops, offices, salons, everyone everywhere was a-buzz with the happenings at the courthouse. The street baked in the heat and I wilted in my drip'n dry summer suit. My stomach growled out pangs of hunger. I stopped in at Marge's Take-Out to pick something up on my way back to the office. There was a short line. All Marge had was a cool glass showcase of pre-fixed sandwiches, a couple of stove tops, coffee and juice machines and a fridge where you could select your own pop or milk.
