SEASON ONE FINALE

ANGER AND REGREAT Beatrice smirked as she thought of her decision and plans. She had thought over it over and over again and she came with a conclusion that she was gonna carry out her decision.. Nothing was gonna stop her. Nobody was gonna stop her. Not even her parents. . . Beatrice jolted up frighteningly as her mother walked into her room. She quickly hid the paper and pen she was with under her pillow. She looked restless as her mother walked to her bed. "Beatrice dear." Her mother smiled lightly. "Hi Mom." She stuttered nervously and forced out a faux smile. "You suddenly rushed as if you were hiding something from me before I fully entered your room. What was that?" Her mother asked inquisitively and darted her eyes all over the room as if searching for something she lost. "Ermm... Of course not mom! I didn't hide anything from you and I ain't hiding anything from you too." Beatrice said and laughed nervously. It was obvious she was lying and probably hiding something from her mother. It was written all over her. Beatrice cleared her throat repeatedly and forced a tight faux smile. "Are you sure?" Her mother asked doubtfully and scrutinized Beatrice from her head down to her toes. "What are you insinuating mom? Of course I'm saying the truth. I'm not hiding anything from you." Beatrice cooed and laughed nervously. "Okay, if you say so." Her mother said with a smile. But she still didn't believe that Beatrice was telling the truth. She was sure she saw her hurriedly hide something and she was looking restless too. But she didn't want to inquire further. She just had to let it be. "But make sure you tell me anything bothering you okay? Always remember that I'm always here for you and ready to listen to you." Her mother cooed softly. "Sure thing mom." . . "So Beatrice, I'm really happy with the way things are going smoothly with you and the kids. I'm so happy you decided to change towards them." Her mother smiled genuinely at her. Beatrice scoffed and did a lopsided smile. "Yeah. Just decided to stop hating them. To let go of that anger and bitterness I feel towards them. They are my children and I have to treat them as such. I only realized that I've been a fool for hating them and letting my anger get the best of me. I'm happy I don't feel those towards them again." Beatrice said with a wan smile. "That's very good of you Beatrice, I'm really proud of you." Her mother concurred with a slight nod. "Yeah. I feel like a huge burden has been lifted up my shoulders ever since I started taking good care of them." Beatrice smiled lightly and bit her lips. "Alright. Continue with it and you'll never regret why you ever had them." Her mother admonished with a small smile. Beatrice scoffed and rolled her eyes. If only her mother knows what she's about to do to the kids, then she wouldn't be here wasting her saliva in advising her. Everything her mother said fell on deaf ears. No matter what, she's gonna carry out her decision. Not even her mother's talk would talk her out of it. She has made up her mind and so be it! "Okay mom." She said plainly. "Alright." Her mother retorted and stood up from her bed. She pecked Beatrice before walking out of her room. Beatrice sighed in relief and laid tiredly on her bed. She stood up and walked towards her door and then, locked it with the key. She exhaled deeply and walked back to her bed. She brought out the paper and pen from under her pillow and continued writing what she was writing before her mother came in. She smiled in satisfaction as she read the content on the paper..... She would be carrying out her plan the following day.... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Beatrice tip toed and peeped at the sitting room, her parents room and Ariana's room to make sure they well all sleeping. When she was sure they were all deep asleep, she quietly tip toed and opened the door and gate. She walked back into the house and carried Andrew and Annabelle and walked quietly out of the house. She placed them at the back seat of the car gently and hurried back into the house. She carried Andrea and also kept her at the back seat of her car. The triplets were sleeping peacefully at the back seat not aware of what's about to befall them. She ignited her car engine and drove out of the compound. The street was quiet with nobody passing by but with just few cars in sight. After minutes of driving, she pulled over a little bit away from the orphanage home and alighted from her car. She carried Andrew and Andrea and placed them at the gate of the orphanage home without anybody's notice. Then, she entered her car and drove off to another direction. Seconds later, she got to the hospital. She alighted from her car and carried sleeping Andrea. After making sure nobody was at sight, she placed Andrea in front of the hospital's gate. { Not the hospital she gave birth but another hospital }. Then, she ran back to her car. She sighed and drove away. . . She tip toed quietly back into the house and back to her room. She placed her back on the door and held her chest and breathed in tiredly. Her chest was beating faster and louder than normal. She felt so scared and nervous but at the same time, happy and accomplished. Her mind would finally be at rest. She wouldn't be able to see any of them again. She glanced at her wall clock and it was a minute past 12 O' clock am in the middle of the night... She sighed and climbed onto her bed. She laid on the bed and drew the duvet closer to her chest and fell asleep. ____________________________ Beatrice woke up with a great feeling of satisfaction. She had slept peacefully throughout the night without interruption from the cry of the triplets. She had slept uninterrupted and she was glad. Unlike when the triplets were still with her, she would have woken up three or four times in the night. It's either they are hungry or they soiled their diapers. Sometimes, it wasn't easy putting them back to sleep. It was really stressful and tiring. But now she's glad that she can sleep peacefully throughout the night without waking up to tend to the children. They were really a pain in the neck to her. But not anymore. . . She hummed softly as she stood under the running shower. She felt so happy. Finally, she would go to the university and without having to think of her kids again. But then again she thought of her parents, how are they gonna react to the news of her action towards the kids? She hadn't thought of that when she was making her plans on how to get rid of her children.. But now, she needs to come up with a lie to tell her parents on what happened to her kids. She can't afford to tell them the truth else, they would be very mad and disappointed at her. "Morning Beatrice." Her parents chorused together. She also greeted Ariana with a smile. They blessed the food and started eating in silence. . . "Where are the kids? I haven't heard their cries since." Her mother said with a smile. Beatrice and her mother were seated in the sitting room talking. Beatrice cleared her throat repeatedly and fiddled with the hem of her shirt nervously. "Ermmmm..... Mom, you see... Well, I have a confession to make ." Beatrice stuttered nervously looking guiltily at her mother. "What is it? What confession?" Her mother inquired, clearly confused as she stared worriedly at her. "Mom, I...." She stuttered nervously.. She couldn't bring herself to lie to her mother. Sooner or later she was gonna know the truth. "Talk to me! What is it?" Her mother panicked. "Mom, I'm sorry. I took them out last night and dumped them." She spilled the beans in tears. She stood up from the couch and knelt down front of her mother and clapsed her hands together. She was crying profusely already. "What?!" Her mother shrieked shockingly as she stared wide eyed at kneeling Beatrice. "What did you just spout out?" Her mother thundered angrily. "I'm sorry mom. I couldn't accept them. And I didn't want dad to change his mind concerning my university. I just couldn't bring myself to love them." Beatrice cried remorsefully. "How dare you?!!" Her mother groused angrily and smacked her hard across the face. Beatrice bent her head and wept. "How could you? I thought you've changed? Why?" Her mother asked and paced around worriedly. She placed her hand on her forehead and the other hand on her waist and stared into space. "I'm so sorry mom...." Beatrice begged. "I'm highly disappointed in you. What you did was so heartless of you......" Her mother sounded so vexed. She glanced at the crying Beatrice and stomped angrily out of the sitting room. Beatrice sat on the floor and wept bitterly.... She didn't expect her mother to react in such an angry way..... If her mother could react this way, what about her father? She thought and wept more. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "I'm highly disappointed in you! I never expected such rash decision from you!" Her father snapped angrily as he stared daggers at Beatrice. "I'm sorry dad. I just couldn't take care of them. I couldn't love them. I'm sorry." Beatrice cried. She was standing in front of her parents and sister with her head bent in regret. "You couldn't even think well before carrying out your decision. What you did was really wrong and heartless." Ariana said vexedly. "You know what? You're not gonna go to the university again. I ain't gonna sponsor you again. You've failed me." Her father said with blood shot eyes and walked away. She ran to meet her father and knelt before him and held the hem of his trouser. "Daddy please..... I'm sorry. Don't do this to me, I beg of you. I really and badly need to go to the university. Dad please....." Beatrice cried remorsefully. Her father yanked her hands away and walked angrily out of the sitting room. "Mom please beg dad.... I really I'm sorry." She begged her mother. Her mother hissed loudly and turned to another direction. Beatrice sat on the floor and wept bitterly... ___________________ As the day went by, Beatrice felt the guilt of dumping her children.
