By the time we finished talking it was time for dinner. I didn't bother to knock on Dark 's office door. He was probably still furious. At the bottom of the stairs was Aaron. He saw me and instantly started apologizing.

"Josephine I am so sorry. I didn't know riding would cause such a big sDark dal."

"It's fine, Aaron. It wasn't your fault." I was reassured. We walked into the dining room where the family was already seated. I sat down next to Dark not saying anything.

"Well if it isn't the two lovers," Brown announced. Dark didn't say anything to defend me, so I just ignored my father-in-law.

All throughout dinner I would steal glances at Alexa who was sitting across from me. She gave me sympathetic looks. Brown and Dark were still talking about their business meeting from this morning. After the awkward dinner everyone left. I sat at the dinner table feeling empty and sad.

"Josephine dear, what are you doing still here?"

"I don't know," I shrugged, "I'm not wanted here."

"Oh don't be ridiculous. Dark wants you here."

"Really? Because it doesn't seem like it. I tried talking to him, but he won't listen."

"He'll come around, you'll see. Just give him some time."

"I don't know Yusi. I really hope so."

After talking with Yusi I went up to my room not knowing what to do. Should I go talk to Dark again, or wait until he comes tol bed? I decided that waiting would be best, but after long hours of waiting I looked at the clock on the nightstand. 1:47 am. Where was he? He couldn't possibly still be in his office. I left our room looking for him. I stood in front of his office door like earlier and just barged in again, but what I saw was not like earlier. Shine was sitting on his desk, her arms around his neck. His arms were around her waist as they made out hungrily. Dark was kissing at her neck or at least that was what I thought he was doing until he noticed I was standing there. His mouth was covered in bllood, and his eyes were filled with blood lust. I had to get out of here. I back to our room as fast as I could locking the door then running into the bathroom also locking the door. I was afraid of what Dark would do to me. As soon as I had locked the bathroom door it began to rattle. I cowered into a corner by the bath tub my legs pulled up to my chest. My heart was beating like crazy. I didn't want to die. Dark burst through the door looking like a mad man. I couldn't help but start crying. He stood in front of me breathing in and out fast. HIs teeth were clenched together and through was blood dripping at the corner of his mouth. I only remember pleading.

"Please don't hurt me," before blacking out.

Josephine's POV

I woke up groggy. What happened? I sat up feeling as I had a hangover. I rubbed my eyes and noticed who was laying on the couch asleep. Dark .

I had to get out of this house. I don't know how the hell Bella did it, but I was definitely not sticking around. I silently put on my shoes not trying to make any noise.

"Going somewhere?" a husky voice asked in my ear as my hand barely touched the door knob. I turned around and faced Dark . His voice had seemed so close but he was right next to the couch.

"I'm just going downstairs," my voice was quiet and I didn't dare look him in the eyes.

"I think we should talk."

I couldn't help, but look up, "Now you wanna talk? Well now it's my turn to say no I don't want to listen to you." He took a step forward, and I don't know what I was thinking but I jumped on top of the bed.

" Don't get any closer."

"What happened to being Bella?"

" Ha! I don't know how she did it, but I am not living in a house full of vampires!"I sprang off the bed running towards the door.

"You're not going anywhere!" he grabbed me from behind. I struggled in his grasp.

"Let go of me!" I did what I could and kicked his where it hurts. Even though he was still a vampire I could tell it still hurt. I rushed out off the room, but he was on my heels. I was so glad Aaron was walking by.

"Aaron!" he stopped as collided with him.

"Woah there! What's going on?" I hid behind him as Dark approached us.

"So now your hiding behind your lover?"

"For the last time Dark , we're not lovers!" Aaron yelled.

"I thought you were my friend Aaron!"

"I am your friend! That's why we need to talk!"

"Alright then. Let's talk, so what's this secret between you and Josephine?"

"I'll tell you. It was about time you found out." he took a deep breath before declaring, "I'm in love with your sister." Dark was furious. Next thing I knew Aaron was on the floor with a broken nose and blood everywhere.

"Aaron!" I hadn't noticed, but Alexa had seen the whole thing. She knelt by his side. I ran to Elsa and Brown's room. Elsa opened the door.

"Josephine, what's wrong?"

"Elsa come quick Dark punched Aaron. His nose is bleeding." She quickly went into her professional mode and ran to Aaron. I was going to follow, but a hand grabbed my arm.

"Not so fast." It was Brown. I pulled back my hand.

"What do you want, Brown?" I asked, annoyed.

"Me and you are going to have a little talk,"

"Fine, what do you want to talk about?" He pushed me into his room and shut the door.

"I don't know who you think you are, but you are not going to humiliate my son!"

"Your son?! So you actually care about your family? I was starting to think you didn't care. You didn't even mourn the loss of your son." before I knew it the back of his hand had collided with my face. The impact of his slap caused me to land on the floor. My hand caressed my cheek where I assumed would be a giant Joseph. I stood up not daring to cry. I looked at him coldly.

"I don't know who you think I am, but I am not a slut. I don't go around sleeping with other people like your son." I left the room before he could insult me some more.

I looked down the hallway, but everyone was gone. I rushed back to my room before anyone could see me. I closed the bathroom door or at least tried to. I quickly applied make-up to hide the giant bruise that had formed along the left side of my cheek. I tried moving my mouth it hurt quite a bit, but I was sure nothing was broken. I couldn't stand being in his house anymore, so I began to pack my suitcase. I didn't know how, but I was going to get away from here. As I zipped my suitcase closed there was a knock at my door. I opened the door and found Alexa smiling at me.

"Alexa," I greeted giving her a hug.

"Dark we talk? I didn't see you at breakfast."

"Of course, come in." I closed the door after her. "I wasn't that hungry."

"Were you planning on going somewhere?" she asked, staring at my suitcase that was laying on the bed.

"I was just packing it in case Dark wanted to leave today." I lied.

"Oh."

"What did you want to talk about?"

"Right," she began. She sat on the sofa while I sat on the bed. "I came to tell you that I understand why you couldn't tell Dark or me about Aaron's secret."

"I'm so glad he knows now, and I'm glad you know." I smiled. She blushed.

"I never thought Aaron would like me nevertheless be in love with me."

"Are you in love with him?" Her face got even redder.

"I've liked him for years now, but I don't know if it's love."

"Well you and him should test out your feelings for each other."

"What about Dark ?" she asked with a frown on her face.

"He'll have to deal with it. You're 19 you Dark do whatever you want."

"You're right." she said standing up.

"Is Dark still here?"

"No he left a while ago. Said he was going to do some things at the office."

"Oh, ok thanks." He was probably with his lover Shine. I was going to have to pay him a little visit.

"Did you need something?"

"I wanted to go see him." She smiled probably thinking I already missed him and was dying of heartache.

"I'll drop you off before school if you want.I was just about to leave."

"Thanks sounds awesome."

"No prob. I'll meet you downstairs."

I quickly changed into a cute and simple gray sweater dress that went down to just above my knee. I paired it with some black leggings and gray suede boots. I grabbed my purse and headed downstairs. Alexa was patiently waiting. She beamed when she saw my outfit.

"Trying to impress someone?" she wiggled her eyebrows.

"Something like that.."

20 minutes later we arrived at Evan Industries. I got out of the car and waved Alexa farewell as she drove away. The guards at the door didn't bother to ask who I was, they simply opened the door.

I walked to the front desk and asked the petite redhead where Dark 's office was.

"It's on the top floor. There Shine will be able to tell you where his office is." she smiled sweetly. It seemed like she was a new intern. I thanked her and walked to the elevator. I pushed 75 and waited till I finally reached the 75th floor. I stepped out of the elevator and immediately noticed Shine examining her manicure. She had also not bothered to cover up where Dark bit her which looked like a hickey. She heard my heels from my boots clicking across the tile floor. She looked up and wickedly smiled.

"Well if it isn't Mrs.Evan,"

I didn't bother to say hello.

"Where's my husband's office?"

"Well he's very busy right now, so you're going to have to wait until he's available."

I was not going to wait for him, and definitely not give this b***h the satisfaction of watching wait until he was available. I quickly sDark ned the doors and saw Dark Evan on one of them. Bingo. With a flip of my hair I left Shine, who quickly followed me knowing where I was going.

I barged in like always not caring, Shine right at my heels.

"Dark -"

"Shine what did I tell you? I'm not receiving anyone."

"I know it's just-"

"Just what?" he looked up from his computer, noticing for the first time I was standing in front of his desk.

"Josephine."

"Your wife came to see you. I tried telling her she couldn't come in, but she didn't listen." her annoyance was pathetic. She tried to sound innocent.

"It's fine, just leave."

"Do you need anything?" she asked, batting her eyelashes. I rolled my eyes sitting down.

"No, but you Dark offer my wife something." She pursed her lips before turning to look at me.

"Do you want anything?"

"Actually I would. Some coffee would be nice." She curtly nodded before leaving us alone. The door closed and the questions started.

"What are you doing here Josephine?"

"Dark I not come and visit?" I innocently asked.

"Of course you Dark . I just didn't expect you to."

"Why? Because I might catch you with your lover?"

"She's not my lover." he declared through gritted teeth.

I stood up and walked around his desk my finger sliding across his desk, "That's not what it seemed like last night."

I heard Shine's heels coming closer. I didn't hesitate to sit in Dark 's lap and wrap my arms around his neck. I pushed myself against his body crashing our lips together. He didn't hesitate either. His arm was behind my back pushing me closer while the other hand was on my thigh. We heard someone clear their throat and pulled away.

"Yes?" I asked not to pull away from Dark .

"Your coffee," she stated placing it on the desk before storming out of the room. I attempted to get up, but Dark 's arms held me in place.

"Dark , let me go."

"That's not what you wanted a few seconds ago." he said huskily in my ear. I placed my arms across his broad chest trying to put space between us.

"I was only trying to make your lover jealous." His eyes turned Dark , and he let me go. I stood up and walked back to my seat.

"For the last time Josephine she's not my lover."

"Ha! Do you really expect me to believe that's true?! Just a few days ago you were accusing me of having a lover! Have you ever seen me kiss Aaron?!"

He didn't answer. He sat there leaning back in his chair with his hands crossed.

"That's what I thought. No, because I've never kissed him, but you have the privilege to kiss whoever you want. You're a lying bastard Dark ." In an instant he was in my face grabbing my arm.

"Don't you dare insult me Josephine." his eyes were Dark in the cold.

"Why not? It's only the truth. You promised you would be the best husband."

" I did, but I didn't promise love, did I?"

"No," I whispered, looking down, his grasp on my arm was more gentle. He was right. He could do anything he wanted. It shouldn't affect me, but it did. My voice was more confident as I looked him straight in the eye and said, "I'm not asking for your love, I'm asking for your respect." I turned to leave, but his words stopped me.

"Where are you going?"

"It doesn't concern you."

"Oh hell yes it does." He blocked my path. I tried to walk around him, but he obstructed my pathway.

"Are you going to see Aaron?"

I sighed exasperated. "For the last time Dark when will you get it through your thick skull? I'm not Aaron's lover. He loves Alexa. Besides, why should you care who I love? This marriage is only business."

"And you're my business." he grabbed my forearms again, crashing his mouth into mine.

Dark 's POV

I crashed her lips to mine not wanting her to leave me. I had been such a douchebag to let myself believe that she had cheated on me. After kissing her soft lips hungrily I pulled away surprised she hadn't pushed me away sooner. She looked flushed, but sad. She didn't seem satisfied with the kiss. She stepped away, grabbed her bag, and left without saying a word. I was left standing there confused.
