"Fight for me?Why?" I was confused. "Why? Josephie, I've had the biggest crush on you since the day I started working for your dad." "But why me?" "Because you were the only person that treated me like a person not like the poor valley boy." "Mike, I'm so sorry. I guess I never realized it because I always saw you like a brother." "Oh," his voice was hurt with rejection. "But Mike, if I had known sooner I totally would've given you a chance." "For real?" "For real." I smiled. Someone cleared their throat. I noticed the music had stopped playing, and we had stopped dancing. I automatically stepped away from his grasp when I saw it was Dark . He didn't look too happy. "Josephine, we have to cut the cake now," he stated. " 'Kay, I'll be there in a sec," I turned to Mike and gave him a hug, and whispered in his ear, "Forget about me. It's for the best." I gave him a kiss on the cheek and took Dark 's hand. Dark 's POV I grabbed her hand firmly and smiled at the guests as we walked to the table where the elegant cake waited to be devoured by a hundred people.
