“I am not. I am tired.”
“I missed you so much. That’s why I came all this way,” she said, pushing me to sit on the bed. “I’m not staying long. I’ll leave tomorrow morning. So let’s do something tonight, darling.”
I watched as Aria started undressing herself, pulling her dress over her head. She stood in front of me in just her red lace underwear.
“Can we do this another time?” I asked.
“I know you don’t love me anymore!” Aria suddenly burst into tears. “You hate me! That’s why you don’t want to touch me again!”
What the f**k? This was exactly what I was trying to avoid. More tears. More drama.
I didn’t want Celeste or her friend to hear me sleeping with Aria. And knowing Aria, she would scream and moan loud enough for the whole house to hear, no matter what I said.
